November’s Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association General Meeting will be on Wednesday, November 14, at 11:45AM, at the 40 et 8 Annex, 7607 NE 26th Avenue (PLEASE NOTE THE VENUE CHANGE THIS MONTH).
Mistie Josephson with Washington State University Vancouver will speak about the Business Growth Mentor & Analysis Program (MAP).
Business Growth MAP is a pro-bono, student-conducted analysis and consultancy that helps small businesses and nonprofits. Senior business students provide analysis of a company’s financial, market and organizational capabilities and create an actionable plan decision makers can use to grow their business.
The student teams work under faculty instruction and with the support of seasoned business professionals. This gives the students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge and build business skills. At the same time, students help improve business insight and provide a realistic plan to move the small business forward.
The goal of Business Growth MAP is not only provide a rich experience for students, but to contribute to the region’s economic development by helping small businesses grow and prosper.
Mistie Josephson joined WSU Vancouver on April 30 as the Business Growth MAP manager in the College of Business. Prior to WSU, she was an account director at Alling Henning Associates, Inc., a marketing and communications firm in Vancouver.
