Dennis Kampe, Director of the Clark County Skills Center will be our April meeting speaker.

This is a great opportunity to lean more about the National award winning Clark County Skills Center and the success of the students served. The Skills Center is a regional technical high school that has been serving Clark County students since 1983. The school has achieved national recognition from Business Week Magazine as one of the top 3 schools in the nation, from Albertson’s Foundation as one of the top 6 schools in the nation and from the National Character Education Association as a school of Promising Practices.

Mr. Kampe has been the Director of the Clark County Skills Center since 1991. He was the Coordinator of Student Services from 1983 to 1987 and then the Assistant Director from 1987-1991.

A graduate of Ridgefield High School and Clark Community College, Dennis Kampe started his career as a teacher first at Clark Community College and then Prairie High School before joining the Clark County Skills Center. He has received many honors and awards, most recently Educator of the Year by the WA Association of Career and Technical Education (2011).
